Kelly Shipley

ASHI Certified Inspector

Kelly Shipley has worked in the home inspection profession since 1984.  She has earned a reputation as an educator and especially enjoys working with first time home buyers.  She is a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (member #243175) and is also a Washington State licensed Structural Pest Inspector (license #68608).  Before starting her own company in 2006, she worked for ABI Building Inspections in Seattle and co-founded HKI Building Inspections in Seattle.

Kelly’s other passions in life revolve around her family and friends; she has six children whose ages start at two and go all of the way up to 18.  She coaches two soccer teams.  Bringing people together to share a  delicious meal or go for a run brings fun and balance into her life.  Her husband travels quite a bit for work, and once the frequent flyer miles are saved up, she likes to put her family on a plane and travel.

Kelly Shipley is a native of the Pacific Northwest.  Born and raised on Mercer Island, she graduated from Mercer Island High School in 1982.  Shipley received her BA degree from the University of Washington.
